Microsoft Windows Movie Maker 2010

The history of Windows dates back to 1981 when Microsoft started work on a program called 'Interface Manager'. It was announced in November 1983 (after the Apple Lisa, but before the Macintosh) under the name 'Windows', but Windows 1.0 was not released until November 1985.

  1. If you are reading this, I'm going to assume you've upgraded or purchased at least one PC with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 and discovered Windows Movie Maker is no where to be found. In its place, Microsoft offered a set of programs called 'Windows Essentials' which included Movie Maker 2011 or 2012.

Windows Movie Maker (known as Windows Live Movie Maker for the 2009 and 2011 releases) is a discontinued video editing software program by Microsoft.It was a part of Windows Essentials software suite and offered the ability to create and edit videos as well as to publish them on OneDrive, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, Windows Live Groups and Flickr.

  4. Windows Movie Maker - Creating Your Own Stylish Videos Windows Movie Maker, once known as Windows Live Movie Maker, is released by Microsoft as a free video editing tool for Windows PC users. With it, you can create your own videos and publish them on FaceBook, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.

  6. Movie Maker was part of Windows Essentials, a package of free programs from Microsoft. Most of them are either defunct (Messenger) or superceded (Editor), only Movie Maker still has a place. As a simple video editor, Windows Movie Maker is great. You can put together video clips, add captions, audio, titles and end credits.
