Though IV is still available for download, it is no longer maintained. LTspice was originally called SwitcherCAD, but that name was removed when IV was released. A native Apple macOS 10.7+ application was introduced in 2013. In 2016, LTspice XVII was released, and is currently the latest version. LTspice ® is a high performance SPICE simulation software, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of analog circuits. Included in the download of LTspice are macromodels for a majority of Analog Devices switching regulators, amplifiers, as well as a library of devices for general circuit. LTspice tutorials from CMOSedu.com are found here. Video tutorial on using LTspice on the Mac is found here. LTspice uses Level=8 for BSIM3 and Level=54 for BSIM4 (information about models from MOSIS is found here). Getting started with LTspice.pdf (From Linear Technology, Inc.). Suggestions for speeding up LTspice simulations are found here. Download LTspice - Simulate switching regulators and analog circuits with this application, which comprises a variety of components that you can integrate into your schemes. LTspice XVII 1.0 can be downloaded from our software library for free. This free program is an intellectual property of Linear Technology Corporation. The program lies within Education Tools, more precisely Science Tools.

- LTspice, aka SwitcherCAD, is a powerful and easy to use schematic capture program and SPICE engine, without node or component limitations, that can be downloaded here.
- To use LTspice with the examples at CMOSedu.com:
1.Install LTspice.
2.Unzip the contents of LTspice_CMOSedu.zip onto, for example, the desktop (the LTspice simulation examples from both books with extras!)
3.The *.asc files can be opened, simulated, and the schematics modified using LTspice.
4.Help using the LTspice simulations examples from CMOSedu.com is found here.
